The only VB game I've beaten previously is Jack Bros.; it's fairly fun with a good OST. For this TR I plan to check out Teleroboxer, Vertical Force, and of course Wario Land.

For those of you not too snooty to emulate, I recommend: https://code.google.com/archive/p/vbjin/

It supports 3D glasses: https://www.amazon.com/Pairs-Cyan-Cardb ... 0039GGZ3I/

I use these 'cause they fit over my prescription glasses: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004HN2U7W/

I am too snooty to emulate, but luckily I have a Virtual Boy and a handful of games I need to play on it.

Other Virtual Boy games I own are Wario Land (good), Mario's Tennis (Good), Mario Clash (meh), Red Alarm (good), Panic Bomber (good) and Galactic Pinball (meh). Any of them would make fine choices to play, but I obviously prefer some over others.

In all honesty, the only remaining (official) Virtual Boy game I'd like for the library is Jack Bros. That said, I wish I'd picked up one of those repro cartridges for Bound High when they were released, it looks fun. In the unlikely event I finish up my VB games I already listed, maybe I'll emulate that.

Yeah I'm gonna go with original hardware myself.

Golf, despite its generic title, is indeed an exclusive. It's not bad either. It was developed by golf gods T&E Soft, who also made Pebble Beach Golf Links and Waialae Country Club.

Thank you for the links, i'm almost in if this emulator turns out well on my laptop.

I'll be going with anything that is not Wario Land; I finished that one relatively recently. Fantastic game, though, and easily the best on the system.

I don't own many legit Virtual Boy games. I have Wario Land, Mario Tennis, and Nester's Funky Bowling. Pretty sure that's it. I may give Teleroboxer a shot, as well as Red Alarm. I believe there's a build of Mednafen on Wii that runs quite well, so I may emulate there.

The emulator should run fine, it's pretty old (the most recent build is from 2010). I believe there's a fork of this emulator developed from its source by other authors. I haven't tried any of the forks, because the original is good enough for me.

Does anyone here have any experience with Waterworld? Is it really the worst the Virtual Boy has to offer?

I actually owned that game in its original box. Along with 3D Tetris. Sold them with my entire Virtual Boy collection for $75 about 15 years ago...

Anyway, I would say it’s no worse than Red Alarm, but I found them both god-awful. So, tied for worst I guess?

Has anyone mentioned Mario Clash? I love Mario Clash. I’ll be playing that. In fact, I’ll probably play every game in my collection aside from Wario Land since that’s the only one I’ve played in depth (and beat). Galactic Pinball is great, and maybe I can actually get somewhere in Teleroboxer with the help of the forum members.

And the Wii emulator in mednafen is great! I was impressed with the quality of it. No 3D though.

Just bought Virtual Boy Wario Land from an eBay seller. This is generally accepted as being the best game on the console, right? Cheaper than I anticipated, which was nice!

I actually haven't played Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land on Game Boy yet so I'll hit that up first. I like continuity and all that.

That seems to be the general consensus. As someone who isn't crazy about Wario Land, I enjoyed it well enough.

It sounds silly to say, but I think the game I enjoyed most on Virtual Boy was probably Panic Bomber. That game is great. I also really liked Red Alarm.
