I think it's clear from many voting poll threads thus far, that most people don't read the poll descriptions. Hence folks ask questions repeatedly that are spelled out in the OP. Who comes to a forum to read anyway?

Yeesh. If this thing ends in a 3 way tie, I feel sorry for Elkin.

Also I don't like the insinuation of things being rigged. I don't think any of the polls thus far have been rigged. (I can tell you right now, if I had rigged my poll, March would have been Mech Madness month.) But maybe the admin team should put in safeguards that prevent brand new accounts from being able to vote. (If that's not already the case.)

I didn't understand that comment either. Maybe it was a joke? Seemed really out of the blue. Shrug.

Yeah, if they're being rigged (which has no evidence and sounds like sour grapes to me) I can tell you it's not by the theme suggesters - Licensed Platformers was actually my least favourite suggestion of the 4 I offered .

I wanted RareWare games to win, and that came last

These polls really do seem to suggest that the theme curators should not fall too much in love with their first choice, cause this forum will undermine them pretty handily.

It's almost like you're suggesting a significant portion of the voters have no actual interest in participating in TR, but would rather troll the polls for malevolence's sake.

I don’t think that has happened, really, do you?

Not at all. Folks who want to be curators for the most part have strong opinions about games. It could be that voters and participants don't always feel quite as strongly, and of course we are a somewhat diverse bunch, so we're not going to all agree on a favorite category.

I can't say for certain. I will say removing the ability to change our votes could mitigate the possibility. I understand why being able to change votes seems like a good idea at first. But if the power is going to be abused in order to produce false leads, ridiculous ties, and last minute surprises, perhaps it shouldn't exist.

On the poll snubbing, I crunched the numbers of voters for the ladies of 80s and who is actually participating and it is almost 1 to 1. I don't think anyone is flubbing the numbers. I am actually quite happy with how much people are participating! Definitely a LOT more than last year
