Why you excluding AES and CD exclusives, G?

All zero AES exclusives? That said, there do appear to be 8 CD exclusive games, though a couple appear to be enhancements of existing MVS games.

I actually didn't know there were any AES or CD exclusives. The CD exclusives are in!

Eh, I'm pretty much good no matter whether Neo Geo, 90s RTS, or FMVs wins.

I agree. If we're just talking about old pure FMV games period, there's not a lot of value there. If we're including the qualifier "any old game that has full motion video cutscenes", that's just way too broad, and therefore doesn't serve up a unique identity for the TR. I can't get excited for either one of those concepts.

I agree. I think people see Neo Geo and think "the same ol' fighters". Sure there's a lot of fighters in Neo Geo land. But there's more variety to the catalog than that:

Lots of dismissiveness for some quality games here. If you are an adventure game fan, FMV games offer you some insanely high quality stuff in the likes of Return to Zork, Zork Nemesis, And Zork Grand Inquisitor, the Myst Franchise, Gabriel Knight 2, Tex Murphy: Under A Killing Moon and so much more.

When talking about other genres, FMV games were genuinely fun in the shooting gallery style games with Crime Patrol and Space Pirates and Who Shot Johnny Rock which added a choose your own adventure style mystery to it.

You have the later wing commander games which are genuinely fun and actually have good acting. You have Dark Forces 2, Realms of the Haunting which are quality first person shooters.

There is choice and it doesn't have to be all schlock all the time.

This odd argument that FMV would be too broad a category but saying neo geo isn't is just silly.

Don't forget Lethal Enforcers. That's a legit great game. You've also got Corpse Killer which is utter shit but hilarious shit.

Hey, if FMV wins, I'll probably look into Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers, Normality, or Starship Titanic.
