I'll be starting Tuesday most likely. Soon as I finish Link's Awakening.

I remember having the letter that came with star tropics that was written in invisible ink and thinking that was awesome, but never had that much more vibrant experience with PC games. Really makes finding big box PC games enjoyable to find in the wild these days. It's great when select game series still come with a printed map. (insert frustration towards the lack of manuals in modern day games here)

The NES port certainly has that JRPG polish to it, after all it was FCI/PonyCanyon that developed it.

the funny thing is, within the first few minutes of the game you're told to go read the history book. "No really, go read it." So I stopped there as well, thinking I should read this 20 page manual first. :|

You just had to be worthy of Lord British's omnipotence.

Played it for about an hour. Walked around a bit, got bitten by a snake, got lost, went into a town to heal, got bitten again, got lost again, asked people if they knew anything about tits (no one did), got bored and started taking potshots at Lord British with my sling.

I'll come back to it after I've read that hella manual I think.

I don't know, sounds to me like you were playing it right.

Next time I'll ask people about butts. I think that's where I was going wrong.
