Together Retro: F-Zero

Post by racketboy »

I love the N64 and GCN sequels, but I actually haven't done much with the SNES original.... who's up for spending some time with this racer?

I'll be playing 4 games in the series this month.

F-Zero (SNES) - the one I have the most experience with, got it at launch.
F-Zero GX (GC) - the one I have a minimal amount of experience with.
F-Zero Maximum Velocity (GBA)
&
F-Zero GP Legend (GBA) - next to no experience with these.

This is what the GC/GBP and Retron 5 are best for!

I have a Japanese version of one of the F-Zero GBA games. I'll hunt it out and see if I can join in.

I'll try to give it a shot. I have SNES, GCN, and GP Legend on GBA. Though, I'm pretty terrible at F-Zero.

I'll probably play through all the tracks in each of the F-Zero games I own to contribute this month as I've already beaten them all before.

I own:
F-Zero (Wii U VC and SNES)
F-Zero X (N64)
F-Zero Maximum Velocity (GBA)
F-Zero GX (Gamecube)
F-Zero GP Legend (GBA)

I was hoping to try and acquire F-Zero Climax before this came round, but no such luck. I'm sure I'll enjoy another playthrough of these though.

Don't have any of these games. If I can find one for cheap locally I may join.

I've played them many times before but any excuse to bust out F-Zero is more than welcome in my book. There was a period when F-Zero X and GX completely took over from the Mario Karts, Smash Bros and Halos as the multi-player game my friends would play. Love them.

I've got five F-Zero games and I'll be giving them all some love this month. I'll also be emulating the BS F-Zero stuff. Unfortunately I couldn't get hold of a copy of F-Zero Climax and its price has really skyrocketed recently. :(

Still, looking forward to this month and hope it'll be a busy one.

I dumped my GX to Dolphin. Never played before. Looking forward to jumping in.

I like the original F-Zero but it is really, really unfair.
There's very little you can do about the rubberband A.I. in the harder difficulty levels.

I'll try to check it out on Wii U sometime this month despite my frustrations.

GX is amazing.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
