Mighty Final Fight

This could very easily have been a disaster but instead turned out pretty great. I would even say this is one of the better brawlers for the NES. A smartly designed game based around the system's limitations that also had a few additions that would be picked up in the next game in the series.

An early Genesis shooter that is the definition of average. There are far too many better choices out there.

The best Mega Man game released in recent years in everything but name. Making it a roguelike actually works and gives it huge replay value.

Fester's Quest

Every bit deserving of the bad reputation it has built. Its not even so much that it is a bad game in general but the series of terrible design decisions that ultimately bring it down. I expect better from Sunsoft.

Ninja Gaiden PC Engine

A disappointing remake of the NES that almost completely botches the reason for its existence. This is still Ninja Gaiden at its core but at the same time you are better off going with the still superior NES version.

Such a great game that has been overlooked due to its late release. Forget Zen Intergalactic Ninja, this is Konami's swan song on the NES.

Outrun

A great port of the arcade classic. This is probably the best they could have done considering the disparity in hardware. Forget the assy ports of Super Thunder Blade and Galaxy Force 2, this is the real deal.

Goof Troop

I really, really was not expecting much from this one. The show was focused on comedy, not so much adventure. But Capcom found a way, creating a Zelda inspired adventure that is only let down by its brevity and lack of challenge.

Goof Troop

Post by GSZX1337 »

I playing this game when I was a little kid. It's funny that you mention its lack of difficulty since I remember the game kicking my ass when I played it. Maybe I'll smoke it when I play it as an adult. :D

You'll definitely notice how easy it is now outside of one or two late game puzzles. Still pretty good though!
