I've always felt that 3 was better than 2, I was fairly taken back when I finally discovered that other people preferred 2 over 3.
Granted, when I was a kid, I would pick 3 just because it had more bosses and it had Protoman. But I've recently played Megaman 2 again, and I can't say I was impressed, got pretty bored quickly though Megaman 9 probably spoiled me.
I should play 2 and 3 again, but based off memory Megman 3 seemed to be more fun.

MM2 made a huge jump in quality for the series, but MM3 perfected it with nicer graphics and sound, the slide, Rush instead of those clumsy "Items", more energy tanks one can hold, Doc Robot stages, and Proto Man.
Someone mentioned Snake Man's stage, why not? Best one there is.

Indeed. I absolutely love that stage. However, I think it's the best of the best of MM3, and the rest are on par or below MM2 imo.

Fair enough. I also don't like that they didn't make the order of the original 8 robot masters a complete circle. Snake Man's weakness is the Needle Cannon and it should have been the Spark Shock. Instead, that weakness is Magnet Man's. It's broke, and every other game has it done right.

Have some Cryogenik

Possibly some of the best remix-into-metal work I've ever heard. I have it on my phone even.

I'm still not sure whether I'm a kid or a squid now.
Re: Megaman 2 vs. 3
3, hands down. Mega Man 2 has the widest appeal due to it's initial popularity and the Wily stage theme song, but I think Mega Man 3 is the better game over all.

I like them both.
Does that count? Or do I have to choose?
