I guess I need to look into more of these scene releases on the DC, though

Yeah, def consider it. You may find a few of their releases worth looking into

Instead of a single console to collect shmups for, why not have a PS3, 360, Wii, PS2, Saturn and Dreamcast all hooked up and ready to go?

You'll need to get a PC Engine at some point! Here are all, I think..., the shooters you are missing (discount the ones that are multi-platform, although sometimes they are a bit different on the PCE than other consoles). I bolded what I consider at the "must-haves", which includes a few games that I think have their definitive released on the system. I would have bolded the other Konami shooters, but, aside from Gradius II (best version is here!), just play them on the Saturn/PS1 deluxe packs.

@Breetai: y'know I had a TG16 back in the day. Got it on clearance before the system died in the US. Though I only had a handful of games as there was very limited places to find them back then. I'm sure someday I'd get back into the system, but for now I'm content enough with maybe grabbing some of the CD games and playing via emulator.

Well, maybe you can use the bolded ones at that list as a starting point if you ever do get into it more in the future.

It's my job to help people get into PC Engine. ;)

Gate of Thunder, Spriggan and Lords of Thunder are absolute must haves on Super CD (I'd say Sapphire, but that goes for $300 or so). If nothing else, get those three.

I'm lost. Why is this thread now about TG16/PCE games?

I have the Sapphire bootleg. Still need to print some nice artwork for it.

&back OT: I've got a couple of cheap DC lots on their way to me now, along with the Prima guide for Half-Life DC!

Wow... I had no idea Prima released a guide for Dreamcast Half-Life. That's hilarious.

just read your review. Don't even think of playing through the game with some sort of guide! It really spoils so much of the overall experience! Code Veronica is perhaps the creepiest, most suspenseful in the entire series.
