The Neo Geo CD - (Game Sack)

by Redifer Sun Apr 27, 2014 2:21 am

Let's check out the Neo Geo CD system and a bunch of games that run on the this much cheaper alternative to the AES and even MVS

What do you think of the Neo Geo CD? Oh, and why do you think that?

Nice video, as always I love the stop animation intro.

Am I right that the Neo Geo CD has no copyright detection ?

I have been on the lookout for a NGCD for awhile, but the price scares me away, shipping to Australia is always brutal. All I have to hold me through those cold nights is a Neo Geo X, luckily I built myself a custom SD adapter so I can play the entire Neo Geo library, but its not the same, you have used one, you know.

Holding ABC and hitting START or SELECT will do a reset. I think one resets the console and one resets just the game. I forget which is which at the moment and my system isn't hooked up right now. I kind of want Ironclad now even if it is just ok, but damn, only one ridiculous copy on ebay.

Joe is that a real Neo Turf Masters AES? Tell us the story of how you acquired it :D did you get most of the AES stuff back when it was new? I bought the MVS cart for Neo Turf Masters for $28 a couple months ago haha. Funny that people think that the Neo CD is the cheapest way to collect for the Neo Geo but really the MVS carts are generally cheaper than the CD versions especially the big name stuff like Metal Slug.

by Redifer Sun May 11, 2014 2:13 am

No specific theme here. Instead we talk about whatever games we wanna talk about!

Do you like this kind of potpourri style of episode?

 Shut down by Jen.

Fun episode, and I like the random choices. Themed episodes are great of course, but its also nice to have a selection of games that simply fall under the umbrella of hey, I like this.

Nothing wrong with the occasional random episode of stuff that doesn't fit.

I wouldn't be opposed to a few more "random" episodes here and there.

Everything you guys put together is top notch! Some randomness here and there is totally fine with me. Just keep having fun by making the videos fresh and interesting for you two and I am sure the audience will keep watching and enjoying!

p.s. the stop motion and final joke part of each video always makes me take a second to appreciate how much fun and effort you put into each one... it's great and i keep coming back every week as part of morning routine to watch the latest episode!
