Re: HOW TO Catalog Your Games

Post by Fragems »

Yeah I really like RFgen it's a nice little community. The whole submission system is pretty fun to. Actually ended up submitting around 600+ scans/pictures to the database  the first time I cataloged my collection .

Plus you can export your list to a CSV file for personal backups.

You've seen my game collection and maybe wondered: What are MY Top 10 Games of All Time? I pick through 3,000 video games and come up with my ultimate Top 10 list! Atari 2600, PC, Xbox, PS2, GBA, old and new are all represented!

Tell me: What is YOUR Top 10 of all time?

Every once in a while I try to come up with what 10 games I couldn't do without, and while it's easy for me to come up with maybe the top 3 or so games that definitely effected me as a gamer and a person I've always found it impossible to round out the rest.

I know it seems like lists like this can be cliche or something as pretty much every forum on the Internet has discussed "FAVORITE GAMES!" to death, but when people are very honest about their favorites and why I find the topic very interesting since it says something about the person and shows how vastly tastes can differ and how nostalgia can grip someone.

There are a few games on this list that I don't really think much about, but it's cool to see how something that didn't effect me at all caused such a different reaction in someone else.

Oh wait, this is the Internet. Hold on...

YOU DON'T LIKE ANY OF MY FAVORITE GAMES YOU SUCK!!11!!

Phew, that's better.

For those of us who don't particularly care for watching game-related videos on YouTube, can you post your list?

Also, for reference, here are some threads we've had on this topic in the past:

viewtopic.php?f=44&t=23590

viewtopic.php?f=15&t=16891

viewtopic.php?f=15&t=11106

I'm sure there are others, too...

Obviously I wrote that as a jab... but then I thought: It wouldn't surprise me if some folks on this forum are rockin' really old web browsers... or even just text based ones, cuz that's what we do! :)

These seem like very good picks, but sadly, I have only played through one of them (Metroid Zero Mission). I will have to remedy that at some point...

How have you not played H.E.R.O.? Given your appreciation for the VCS, you need to get on that like NOW.

It's 'spensive.

That said, I have it on the PS2 Activision Anthology; so, I really don't have an excuse for not playing it...
