The Game Chasers

Post by Crabmaster2000 »

Didn't notice a thread dedicated to these guys so I thought I'd start one up. Anyone else around here enjoy the show? I've been watching it since near the end of their first season and I love it.

It's generally pretty entertaining, and heavily retro gaming focused. Any other Billy & Jay fans around racketboy?

If you're unfamiliar its two guys (and occasionally some other friends and family) game hunting in Texas. A lot of love obviously goes into each episode with their recording and editing. Not just a couple of guys in front of their webcam. They typically find good games in each episode, but on some rare occasions they score some REALLY good deals on obscure and uncommon games and even hit some conventions.

I'm a big fan of American Pickers, the formula for which these guys borrow (and are outspoken about doing so). I started watching it early on when Gamester81 liked one of their videos. Very entertaining stuff.

The Game Chasers are great guys and I really like their show. Billy has a career in professional video editing, which is the reason why it looks so good... but beyond that, they are passionate about game collecting and they are exactly the same on camera, as off. I got to hang out with them a bit when they came to Seattle for PAX Prime. Great bunch of knuckleheads! :)

They have a new offshoot series also "That's the way game playin' go"

I met these guys at MAGFest (as we are both affiliated with RetrowareTV) - really nice guys. I also traded Billy a beer for MLB '99 (psx). It was a good deal for him!
