Hi,

I have growing collection of saturn games, and im woundering about scanning in the game covers, manual & maybe the disk covers also. Ive tryed scanning in a game manual before, and the pdf size was around 40MB, which i think is way to big. So does any one any tips on making pdf documents of a good readable quality, but at a reasonable datasize ?

If i was to scan the game covers, i would scan them at 300dpi.

Is it worth scanning the disk images ?

Any help would be good, thanks.

Eh, use photoshop to clean up the images, so they will compress better. It has a simple blur feature that will smooth the solid or extremely similar colors together, without harming the lines and edges. Makes a huge difference in filesize when used properly.

I have Jasc Paint Shop Pro 9, would that be just as good ?

When making the PDF, how big should you have the images that are being imported in to the document, as i found when i scanned a manual in the past the PDF was 40mb, but the quality was perfect.
