Want: Scans of Official U.S. Playstation Magazine

Post by jmsajdak »

Hello,

I am looking for scans of complete issues of Official U.S. Playstation Magazine. The one that was published from 1997 - 2007.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Official_U ... n_Magazine

I would mostly be interested in the older issues dealing with Playstation 1 stuff.

I do have some physical copies of older issues and would be willing to try and scan them so we can try and create a database.

Thanks,
James S.

Did they stop publishing it or is it different now? I've been getting the Playstation (I think that's what it is) magazine for the past 5-6 months.

This is the current one that is published:

There close to the same name. I would also be interested in older issues of that magazine as well back when is was called "PSM 100% Independent Playstation Magazine"

I went on a search for this about a year and a half ago and was really disappointed with what I could find. I ended up just hunting around for old issues in real life. I tried to scan them but I proved myself to be pretty incompetent with scanning them.

Which was kind of embarrassing since I worked for a while in an electronic publishing department, in which I spent the day scanning books.

Heh.

I was recently trying to find the first issue with CD myself. I mean a real copy, not a scan. I had no luck in ebay surprisingly.

Retromags? Dead? What are you talking about?

I just went there, they're fine and still being regularly updated. How are they dead at all?

here's a scan of PSM #1:

Is that the first issue that you're looking for? I find the whole name-change thing confusing. There's Official PlayStation Magazine and PSM, so...

was THIS the first magazine? Did this one come with a disc?

in the rise of the tablet market
I think all magazine publishers should allow a purchase of their older issues
just like new consoles offer retro games

No need for scans,
