dsheinem's collection 2013: Let ME show U my game room! 8/10

by dsheinem Mon Jan 05, 2009 3:52 pm

This thread is always under construction, and I'll work on updating it regularly for the foreseeable future...

Game Room Pictures:

Here's a slower "walk" through the room...

When you open the door the MAME cabinet greets you immediately:

Image

Take a step in and see this:

Image

(the 360/PS3/Wii are hooked to the big TV, right now an NES is hooked to the CRT)

To your right you pass this:
Image

And to your left you'd see this:

Here's the same shot with the cabinets open:

Image
(From L-R: Sega games inside/Nintendo games on top, PS1/PS2 games inside/boxed systems on top, PS3&360 games inside/PSP, Vita, Wii, and 3DS games on top)

Here's a closer look at those shelves above the current gen stuff. These are systems I don't have a box for and a few trinkets:

Here's a look at the cabinets behind the couch:

Image

(From L-R: tall shelf - Vinyl on top/DVDs inside , short shelf - game mags & guides on top, Madden games & 7800 games & O2 games & Jaguar games inside, storage bins: 2600 & TI 99 carts, second tall shelf - CEs on top, music CDs inside)

Close up of some of these cabinets and shelves:

While your SNES collection is small it includes some quality games. I see you're a big fan of classic collections which is pretty cool. Have you played Space Invaders Extreme?

Yes - SIE one of my fave games of 2008. In fact, I like it so much that I played it and beat it for both DS and PSP - each game was a little different. I do like compilations quite a bit - between what I have for each system, I'm only missing a very few that have been released.

that's an amazing collection! but i have a question. whats up with the black brave fencer musashi disk? is it European (i kinda doubt that since i say only american releases) or is it a demo disk? also i notice that you have the first Zone of the enders game if you haven't played it yet i'd advise you get the sequal to it. its alot better.

It is the Japanese version - same with the Gran Tursimo 2 discs.

also i notice that you have the first Zone of the enders game if you haven't played it yet i'd advise you get the sequal to it. its alot better.

I played ZOE shortly after it came out and enjoyed it quite a bit - I've been after ZOE2 for a while but keep waiting to find a good deal. It's on my to do list.

I'd like to think that what the DC and Saturn collections lack in size are made up for in quality. For the Saturn I have a bunch of racing games (all solid titles) because I have the Saturn wheel. Panzer Dragoon, Nights, Astal, Clockwork Knight, Virtua Fighter 2, and Virtua Cop aren't a bad selection of games. I'm more let down by my DC collection - but would like to boost the numbers in both of these collections. Unfortunately most of the games I would like to get for these systems - shmups and 2D games - are quite pricey.

Nice collection. You have a lot of great classic compilations. I need to be getting more of those...

I spy my traded copy of Rez in there!
