actually though since you are upscaling to an HD signal you would want to use RGB over S-video, the difference may be minor on a CRT tv but on an HDTV you can see every little flaw in the signal.

I was talking about S-Video for the capture device, which I'm guessing doesn't do any scaling for what it's capturing. Since the adapter is only $10, it's worth seeing if it's "good enough" before spending more money on something else.
