Wispmage's Game Room and Collection (Updated 3/19)

by Wispmage
Having moved into a new apartment with my girlfriend, I've finally been able to build the game room I've always envisioned. Compared to a lot, I don't have a huge collection, but what I do have, I'm pretty proud of. Most of it I've had since I was younger, and I'm glad I had the smarts to hold onto it. If I had to play favorites, the few things I'm most fond of would be my Super Nintendo Collection, my Final Fantasy Collection (I own almost all of them), my Nintendo Power magazines, and a couple of the posters (Zidane and Ocarina of Time).

(3/19 UPDATE) I decided to reshoot most of my collection since I've accumulated a bunch of new games since the last time I took photos. Updated pics are below. Notable additions include:
-Harvest Moon (SNES)
-Super Ghouls N' Ghosts (SNES)
-The 7th Saga (SNES)
-Mario Party (N64)
-Banjo-Kazooie (N64)
-Perfect Dark (N64)
-Starfox Adventures (GCN)
-F-Zero GX (GCN)
-Wario Ware: Smooth Moves (Wii)
-Pokemon X (3DS)
-Streets of Rage (Genesis)
-Earthworm Jim (Genesis)
-Ecco the Dolphin (Genesis)
-Soul Reaver (Dreamcast)

Previous Updates
(3/4 UPDATE) After finding out to my dismay that my older PC couldn't run the new Thief game, I took it upon myself to spec out, order, and build a new rig this past weekend. Saturday also happened to be my birthday, so I decided that it would be a birthday present to myself. :P

I'm now happy to report that it runs Thief with an average of 50FPS, and is a huge upgrade over my old PC. If you want to check the specs/parts, here's the wishlist I created for it on NewEgg: New PC Wishlist

I also received a custom-built shelf a few days ago as well, courtesy of my girlfriend's Dad who happens to be a carpenter. It allows me to use my 27" HD TV as a second monitor above my primary one, mostly for Netflix viewing whilst in bed. Updated pics are below.

(1/24 UPDATE) Added photos of my new Sega Saturn and 3DS along with the games I acquired for each. I also updated the photos of my Desk / Work Area, and the photos of my controller storage, which has now expanded.

(1/4 UPDATE) Re-shot my main Game Room photos after rearranging things a bit, adding a Wii to my collection of consoles, and buying a few new games (Completed my personal SNES collection after snagging Harvest Moon off eBay).

(9/7 UPDATE) Took some new photos after buying a Sony Trinitron CRT TV, rearranging things, and picking up a few new Genesis games now that I can play them with a clear picture.

(8/27 UPDATE) Added shots of my PC games. Might add original boxes and manuals as well at some point in the future.

(8/24 UPDATE) After a few new purchases, I've decided to reshoot most of my collection, this time with all of my games displayed. Since my last update, I've bought a new 40" Scepter TV, an N64, a Genesis, games for both, and games for other systems as well. (Thanks for the recommendations in regards to ActRaiser btw, I'm thoroughly enjoying it)

(5/28 UPDATE) Some updates, mostly my Desk and PC gaming related stuff. That's pretty much everything. More often than not, I'm in one of these two rooms.

(5/16 UPDATE) I've got pictures of the majority of my collection up at this point. I'll be updating it at some point with photos of my PC and desk, and my Gameboy collection.

Thanks for the compliments guys, I put a lot of time and effort into it. Admittedly I'm a bit OCD, so the organization is something that I can't resist  Keep an eye out for new photos sometime tomorrow.

Nice collection. I really like smaller collections like this because they consist of games you probably really enjoy instead of hundreds of games you bought own just to own. Like you, my collection is smaller but I feel like I've collected some nice stuff and most of them are games that mean something to me. If I have time this summer, I'm going to work on a gaming room/setup.

I approve of the Megaman X games :D . All you need is Megaman 7 and soccer and you will have all of the US releases.
