CamaroCam's Collection (*4-8, added GB, SMS, Wii*)

by CamaroCam Mon Apr 01, 2013 1:57 pm

Before I share my collection, I'd like to share a bit of my story, and the background behind why I collect. It all started when I was 2 or 3 years old. I have vague memories of playing Sonic the Hedgehog on the Genesis with my brothers. In fact, those memories are the earliest I have. I used to(and still do) love playing those games with them. I also have fond memories of playing Super Metroid and Super Mario World on the SNES with my cousin, at our grandmother's house.

Well, a couple years ago, I started getting REALLY into the emulation of mostly 16-bit games. That led to me getting REALLY interested in the games themselves. I became so fascinated with them that I wanted to learn all about the history of video games. Beside online research, I had a few older consoles laying around the house (the Mk. 2 Gen from my childhood, the SNES from my grandmother's house, and an N64 that was given me by a friend.) So I decided to hook all three of them to my old CRT, and keep all my games for them in one spot.

After two and a half years, it's become my favorite hobby, and I'd love to share it with you all :)

My collection is still rather small, so I know that I'm probably rather intermediate compared to most of you. That being said, I've seen how considerate and supporting this community is, so I'm actually overjoyed to share this collection with you guys. I'll start with NES, and add more as I can.

NES (added 4-1-13)
I'm going for a complete NES collection. It'll be a while.

Black Box games. These are not in Alphabetical, rather I have them sorted by the color of the font on the side labels.Image Image Image Image Image

SNES (added 4-6-13)
Here's my original Super Nintendo. She's been through a lot, but she's in good hands now :) Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image

And now, for the pride and joy of my collection: Image :)

Nice!
And I always appreciate it when the person takes the time to line everything up when taking the pic rather than just snapping off a photo of stuff on a shelf.
Looking forward to the rest of your consoles and games. :)

I do too. It takes much longer, but it's so worth it!

I like your Genesis collection. If I recall correctly, that PS1 light gun of yours will instantly give you the secret weapon in Silent Hill if you try to play it with it. Normally it takes 2 or 3 playthrous of the game to unlock it.
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

I honestly prefer the shelf picture for three reasons:
1. I know what labels look like
2. Lets me see the collection faster
3. It lets me see the shelf setup - which I am always interested in how others are storing their collections.

That said, you have a solid collection from what you have posted up and Id love to see a gameroom shot.

That makes a lot of sense, too. I intend to include plenty of Game Room shots, so you guys can see me setup! :)
