NeoRageX hacked roms?
NeoRageX hacked roms?
I thought I remember hearing that the roms used with NeoRage are hacked roms and are not accurate emulation. Does anyone know anything about this?

Yeah that's what I recall as well. They were hacked because the check-sum (or something) wasn't registered by the emu and coincidentally NRX has also been majorly hacked since the official final release.
As far as them not being accurately emulated, I personally haven't noticed any real differences as mainly use (and prefer the interface of NRX for NeoGeo gaming) however, you could play one game in MAME and compare as MAME coders strive for accuracy IIRC.

I love the full speed and simple interface of Neoragex, but something isnt right about the experience. Controls, graphics, and sound all is kind of off, but maybe its just the difference of hardware (computer monitor, psone controller with usb converter, etc) that makes it seem off. Emulation always feels a bit off and hallow.
