emulation on a gba sp

Post by raztat »

I just bought a gba sp and would like to emulate snes or a genesis on it, is that even possible? I would need a flash cart right?

Last time I looked someone was working on a snes emulator for the gba but it was a bit complicated because the gba has less buttons.

Yes you would need a flash cart to play emulators on a gba.

The only good emulation is basically 8-bit and below. And there's some good homebrew ports like Out of this World (Another World).

yup
and if the games are small enough/the cart is big enough you can have more than one game on the cart.

I picked a couple up really really cheap from china and after 2 months the batteries went flat and now they dont save anymore. (I can still put games on them but I cant save my progress)

So I would recomend gets a good one rather than the cheap ones.

This is the one I've been using for a couple years and love it.

Both NES and SMS emulate well, and PCE is coming along. I highly doubt we'll see any good SNES emulation though, considering most people have moved on to the DS.

You can still find them for sale on the net, but they aren't usually on eBay. I can't remember the site I ordered from off the top of my head, but I'll see if I can track it down.
