ethernet cord works? i always used a cross over cable and use some ftp client, mainly cause the tutorials told me to lol.

Yeah, all the tutorials I read said to use a crossover cable, but since I didn't have one, I figured I'd try an Ethernet cord just to see if I got lucky. It worked perfectly. Now I question if you just don't need a crossover cable or if they're like the difference between dogs and grey wolves (you think they're different species, but they're actually not).
