How well does MAME play on dreamcast?

Post by floatingyeti »

I have a strong urge to play Battletoads (arcade) emulated on my dreamcast. i just want to know if it will run properly. how well does Mamed or MamedDC preform? i remember playing NesterDC and it ran beautifully but i tried SNES emulation and it was irritatingly slow. i assume a more advanced arcade rom would not be emulated as smoothly. is this even worth trying? And no i don't have an xbox to run emulators on so its not an option.

well dont bother with mamed, crap compatibity.
get MAME4ALL for the dreamcast,it should play battletoads pretty well, atbest mame4all plays cps1 games like un squadron, forgotten worlds ..........
other games that you can play on mame4all are contra, supercontra, teenage mutant ninja turtles..........
you want bee able to play any cps2 games though.hope that helps.
the legend will never die!

When I was make emu and rom discs for DC, MAME was the only one I never got to work. I'd download ROM sets, and none of them would load with any emus that I made. Didn't have any other problem with any other console emus, just MAME. Good luck.
