Any interest in an Alex Kidd in Miracle World romhack? I've spent the past couple of weeks making one (preliminary title: Alex Kidd in Radaxian Rumble) and would appreciate any feedback on it I can get.

You can find more info, screenshots and a link to to an ips patch of the first demo here.

New NES/FC game translated, looks like it could be neat: http://www.romhacking.net/translations/2331/

When children began disappearing on Fun Island, a local theme park, the little masked ninja in training Hanamaru bravely went to save them! Equipped with a mechanical hawk and magic scrolls, join Hanamaru as he traverses Fun Island in search of the missing children. Action packed, side scrolling levels and fierce card battles with bosses give this game a unique gameplay all its own! Now available in English for the first time ever, this translation was made at the request of Cyberfox. Go download it now!!!

Pokemon Yellow for the Famicom!

http://www.romhacking.net/translations/2478/

This is an English translation of Lei Dian Huang: Bi Ka Qiu Chuan Shuo, otherwise known as Pokemon Yellow for the Famicom. This pirate game is made by Shenzhen Nanjing, the company that brought you Final Fantasy VII Famicom.

This translation also completely replaces the original songs in the game with ones that are more accurate to the original, and less annoying. The original 14 songs were replaced, with more than 20 new songs. Almost all are based on Pokemon R/B/Y, some are based on G/S/C.

This translation also changes the EXP growth to make leveling up much less tedious.

Have fun! :)

Oh cool! I played through a lot of an earlier version. It's very well-built, and Lugia2009 did so well on FFVII. I really want repro's of them both (so does Lugia2009...)

This one's pretty cool, a complete overhaul of Kid Chameleon with lots of difficult puzzles and traps. There are two other WIP hacks of the game called Kid Chameleon X and KC: Return to Wildside, the latter of which seems very hard.

Edit:
Note that the above hack (Kid Chameleon 2 Heady Metal's Revenge) has only been fully tested in Gens. It crashes at Poison Chasms 2 in Regen.

A couple of NES ones that I recently found:

Super Mario All-Stars NES - All 4 NES games hacked into one MMC5 mapper with save ram
http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/2422/
too bad it uses 1mb prg&chr mmc5 so no flashcarts...

Tetris Zero - fixed up some already-present 2 player VS code from the official Tetris

I've just beaten Super Mario 3Mix and am now going back through it collecting all the star coins and doing the
extra comet challenges
that unlock. There also appears to be a secret world that I've so far only glimpsed.

This game is a towering achievement worth buying on a bootleg cart because it feels that legit!

TRY THIS HACK!

It patches a Super Mario World ROM, but the original game is unrecognizable! Usually hacks of this caliber have trouble playing on real hardware, but this one works fine for me (so far). I just played the tutorial level and was so impressed that I had to stop and post.

Wall jumping, red blocks that can only be broken with Fire Flower, auto saving, and a ton more! As the title suggest, this is meant to be more of a challenge. But from what I've seen so far, the level design is great. It's not nonsense challenge like Kaizo Mario, it's a FUN challenge.

edit: I just played a few levels. I kinda wish the 100 second challenge part of the game didn't exist. These levels are really well built, and I wanna spend more time in them.
