Issues with SSF, save states don't work at all. Ver 0.12 R3

Post by Lodestar »

I've been trying to play Saturn Bomberman, and while it works, for some reason I can only save state before I start the game (like from the main menu). Once I'm in-game, shift+F7 (save) or even F7 to load fails to do anything. Frustrating, because the game can and does crash from time to time, and I've lost my progress a lot due to this. I'm using the latest version, should I be using something more stable?

Any reason why I wouldn't be able to save at all times? And why when I restart the game my save state is gone?

It doesn't make sense why it doesn't even work from the file drop down menu.

-Windows 7 x64.
-Saturn 1.01a (UE) BIOS.
-Using a mounted ISO with Daemon Tools.

I never managed to get that thing working either. The only thing I can think of is to ask if you're playing it in compatibility mode or not.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I'm playing it on standard. Strangely enough, I got a game over by normal means and the emulator displayed text for loading a save state. HOW BIZARRE.
