Re: Buffalo SNES USB Controller
No worries. I think I was just more curious than anything. It would be nice to have a USB SNES w/o an adapter (lazy I know).
(FC, AVFC, NES, SFC x2, SNES, N64, GC x2, Wii x2)*(G&W x7, GB, GBpocket, GBASP, DS-L x2)
(GEN, SS x3, DC x3)*(PCE-Duo)*(Xbox:500GB)*(NGCDZ, NGPC)*(PS1, PStwo, PS3:160GB, PSP.3K)

I played it for a few more hours again tonight. Its a great controller. One thing i noticed is that if you press the D-Pad in the center (all 4 directions at once).. It clicks. This can happen once and a while when playing. It`s the only annoying thing i have found so far. Not sure if brand new official ones do that or not or if it will go away once its broken in. Honestly though if your super picky only the real thing will satisfy you. Also, if you already have SNES controllers, an adapter would be the same price or cheaper.

I'm pretty sure I'll get one just for the helluvit. It may end up replacing my adapter+controller setup for when I play on the PC.

Is there a way to use this with a real snes or convert its wire somehow?

No, not as a direct plugin. Only as a mod by adding a SNES gampad PCB, jumping all the button PCB contacts over from the USB SNES. Probably have to add an external box to accomodate the extra PCB, at that stage might as well just refurbish a real SNES gamepad.
That USB SNES gamepad looks like a winner for the PC! Tempting, but I already have too many Thrift Store discovered PC controllers; happy using a Gravis Pad.

I do have some old SNES controllers that have seen better days. Is the inside a clone enough to just swap out the PCB?
The real goal is to get it to work on the Retron5, I wonder if I can make a usb to micro usb adapter and just plug it into the back?

I was under the impression that the Retron5 does not allow USB controller input. Can someone with a retron5 confirm this?

Re: Buffalo SNES USB Controller
It's been 2 years.. Works well enough. I really like it.
The D-Pad isn't PERFECT. But its good. I have never tried those cheap Tomee or Retrolink controllers. Watched a few reviews on both. I'm betting the Buffalo is better in every way possible. Only thing better would be real SNES pad and an adapter.

Re: Buffalo SNES USB Controller
Has anyone tried connecting this to a PS3? Does it do anything? I know that there's a bunch of Snes-style usb controllers that work on the PS3, but they are all super cheap. I had also been looking for the black version of this Buffalo pad, but I couldn't find it anymore, only the one with the SFC colors popped up.
