I don't have a fast enough machine nor am I interested since I played all that's worth playing on the platform, but it is interesting to note this studious perseverance to emulating such a messy system.

This is great news!
I've never really been able to test out this emulator since I don't quite meet the recommended requirements for the CPU. I also don't have much of a need for it at the time since I have a softmodded phat PS2 with an internal HDD.
However that doesn't change the fact that this emulator is a fantastic achievement in console emulation history! It's always very good to know that one of my favorite systems will be essentially future proof for years to come.
Also, PCSX2 is open source so it can act as reference material for other PS2 emulators along with making it easier to port to other platforms. This is the kind of thing the emulation community needs more of (glances at the Sega Saturn).
