anyway, can you guys also add what plugins/settings you used?

For most 3D PS1 games, you want to use ePSXe, with the newest Pete's OpenGL2, and Eternal's sound plugin. From there, study each setting to better understand which ones are appropriate for which games. And that filter I often use for Pete's OpenGL2 seems to be nameless. I got it within a pack of a dozen filters. Most were odd ones that attempted to add in cel-shading or storybook style visuals but failed miserably. Here's a good starting point for visual settings, if you have a good enough video card.

And here's the shader. Place it in ePSXe\plugins\shaders, and enable it in the plugin as shown in the pic.

There might be one or two small changes, but basically yes. Also, sometimes theres option you should enable under the "special game fixes ..." button.

That is one of the high res packs. I'll try to take some pics of other games myself after I get updated packs.

Cheers for the link (pun intended!). Got to say it again...WOW!

If only VC releases had an option for upgraded graphics like this...

And that music takes me back to more pleasant moments...

After about twenty minutes of tweaking it I found something I liked that ran at full speed:

Comparison shots of the standard psx resolution to the updated one forthwith - aka whenever this dvd finishes burning.

And since it is a Square game the characters look better by 100fold, the environments however barely change.

Since it is easier for me just provide a link than to actually resize all the images from 600 by 1600:

I just posted a summary of this thread here:

If anybody has anything to add that might be useful for newbies, that would be great!

BTW, Mozgus, it looked like you were going to post a link to the color filters, but never did.
Am I missing something?
