Why again would I want to do this? Isn't the library for the lynx similar in quality to the Jaguars?

No such thing as an unneeded emulator. Anything that lets me increase my portable gaming library for free is a good thing even if it doesn't increase it by much.

I vaguely remember the Lynx having like... 12 games (as in, ONLY). Is that actually correct?

The Jaguar might not have a stellar library, but there are a couple of gems there for sure (at least for the time; Tempest 2000 is great, and I think played a demo Alien vs Predator in PC later - maybe a different game altogether though?)
