lol, Fallout 4 definitely is. Fallout 3 is basically sci-fi Skyrim in DC, and New Vegas is basically sci-fi Skyrim in the Mojave desert.

Brief thread diversion, but certainly don't discount the first two Interplay released Fallout games either (I've never played Fallout: Tactics so I can't speak to that one). Obviously the game play is distinctly different than the more modern entries in the series, but the first two games are some of the best WRPGs of their generation IMO, and if I'm dialing up the personal bias a bit more I'd even say they're some of the best WRPGs bar none.

I hate the gameplay in the first two Fallout games. The story and lore, however, are MORE than worth powering through.

I adore the universe. It really can do no wrong in my eyes. Very essential to a “games you must play before you die” list for me.
