speaking of backwards compatibility, can anyone help me out by confirming a couple of things?

1. If you put the 360 Sonic Sega Genesis Collection into an Xbox One, will it let you play the XBLA games that are playable on One? Meaning, will that 360 disc allow you to play Phantasy Star II for instance? I'm guessing NO because the front-end on that collection is kind of its own thing, rather than this just being a compilation of XBLA games. But I'd really like confirmation.

2. While the NBA Jam: On Fire Edition (digital) release is listed as backwards compatible on the One, I can't seem to get any confirmation on whether the retail disc (simply titled "NBA Jam") which came before the On Fire Edition re-release will work on One. Can anyone pop that disc in and tell me if it works?

re: NBA Jam physical edition - no not backwards compatible. The On Fire Edition (digital only) prob had different licenses extended to it so it can still be sold years later.

Edit: you know what, doesn't hurt for me to try Noise. I'll test it.

I downloaded a couple oXbox games - haven't tried them yet. I did discover that my manual for KOTOR was missing which brought about great anger. Psychonauts and Crimson Skies were the others. Gotta check on Ninja Gaiden Black - think that's the NG game i have for the system.

Crimson Skies really holds up. The cut scenes are awful as hell, but the game still plays fantastic. I popped it in just for the novelty of seeing it run on Xbox One and ended up losing a few hours to it.
