I like that the PSP1000 has a metal frame, so it feels solid. It also has a positive mechanical UMD door latch, so it will never suffer the "do you want to quit y/n" glitch. And it has an IR port that was never used by Sony, but has some homebrew applications. The PSP1000 is very easy to disassemble, and is just the most rugged of the PSP family. I think it has a better d-pad than the 2000 or 3000.

2000 4 lyfe!

Component out (cuz who uses Composite?), better screen than the 3000, and ability to have CFW installed permanently on it (yes I know re-enabling it on the 3000 takes about 5 seconds, but if we're splitting hairs by god I'm gonna split hairs!)
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed
Chronically out of date BST thread

I have CFW permanently installed on my 1000.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply they couldn't be installed permanently on the 1000... rather that the 2000 is the only one that has BOTH video out AND permanent CFW

PSN Store is closing for the PSP on March 31 in the US too. If there's anything you want, order it ASAP!

(It sounds like you'll still be able to buy things by using the store on a PC but I'll definitely be prioritizing Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC and Brandish: The Dark Revenant this month. Maybe a few others.)

Will you still be able to access to download previously bought titles?
