Rebuild My PS2 Collection
Re: Rebuild My PS2 Collection
Silent Hill 2 - I'm sure you know of this series, but this is one of the last great survival horror games made. I think it's as good as the original in it's own way. Great game.
King's Field IV - An underrated first-person action RPG. The PS1 games were better to me, but this one is in the same vein as them.
I dunno how you feel about fighting games, but there are loads of them. I see you have King of Fighters listed. Samurai Shodown, Guilty Gear, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, fighting games from every developer are available on the PS2 and almost always at a low price.
If you really enjoy Devil May Cry games, Capcom's Devil Kings and Chaos Legion games are ok. God Hand and Devil May Cry are much better though.
I'm assuming you can't play imports, but there are a lot of great imports for the PS2.

Why stop at Silent Hill 2? If you like the series you can get 2, 3, 4, and Origins on the PS2. Also, if you get SH2, get the Greatest Hits edition. It has the added content that was on the Xbox version.
I also recommend Ico since I saw Shadow of the Colossus on your list and I think the Hitman Trilogy is a good buy any day.

Re: Rebuild My PS2 Collection
Since you mentioned Sly, I recommend the Ratchet and Clank series and the Jak games (not Jak X, fuck that game).

Half-Life is best played on the PC. (Don't worry about system requirements, Half-Life can run on a toaster)
Shinobi sucked.

I thought Shinobi was good, maybe a little too challenging for some but overall good.GSZX1337 wrote:Shinobi sucked.Weekend_Warrior wrote:Half-Life

Anyways, you may want to look into the Shin Megami series. Persona 4 and Devil Summoner 2 are spectacular. Another really great series to look at is Shadow Hearts. The combat system is great. Dark Cloud 2, Gradius V and Maximo are great games as well. Good luck rebuilding your collection!

Completely agree on Half-Life. (lol at playing on a toaster)GSZX1337 wrote:NOOOOOOOO.Weekend_Warrior wrote:Half-Life

But, completely disagree on Shinobi. I love the game play. It's hard as Chuck Norris' balls, but it is a great game.
I also will 2nd the Shin Megami Tensei games. And don't forget Shadow of the Colossus and Ico.
