I got a GunCon2. What are some good PS2 shooting games?

I just bought Vampire Night with the GunCon2 controller. I also have Time Crisis 3. I would like to pick up a few other games to make use of the thing. I've seen a copy of Ninja Assault and Time Crisis 2 at my local used games shops. I also see Resident Evil: Dead Aim from time to time. I know Time Crisis 2 is supposed to be good and Ninja Assault is supposedly kind of bland, but I don't know anything about the Resident Evil gun game.

Are there other good gun games I should also be on the lookout for?

Also, can I play the Playstation 1 GunCon games on a PS2 using a GunCon 2? In other words, is the GunCon 2 backwards compatible along with the PS2?

Crisis Zone and Dino Stalker are a lot of fun and if you're really desperate Endgame is decent enough, sadly the guncon 2 is not backwards compatible.

Ninja Assault is a game about ninjas shooting other demon/dragon ninjas. That is all you need to know.

From what I remember, I think the guncon2 is not backwards compatible since it uses the usb. I think some guncon 2 titles can use the original guncon though. But that doesn't help you sorry.

On some games, yes. The GunCon2 has more buttons, so if a game requires those buttons, then you are out of luck. However, in the instruction manual for Vampire Night, it says you can use either the GunCon or the GunCon2.

My friend beat Resident Evil dead aim at my house in like 3 hours, not even that. i dont have the guncon2 and i havent played it yet (i own it) but my friend enjoyed it

I was offered the GC2 for dirt-cheap but declined because LG games on the PS2 are sadly lacking. Can the WiiMotion+ be used as an accurate PC lightgun?

Congrats on nabbing a GC2 and Vampire Night. Ninja Assault is a very competent shooter and Time Crisis 2 is a must have, especially since I got it a Gamestop for $4 complete. Personally I was never a big fan of the Gun Survivor series from Capcom, of which Dino Stalker and RE: Dead Aim is included, but those games are unique nonetheless. The only other US release GC2 game I have is Endgame, and it is very bland.

I recommend picking up the original GC so you can play some of the great shooters on PS1, assuming you don't have a GC1. Two words: Elemental Gearbolt!
