by jabsder Sat Nov 05, 2016 2:23 pm

Hello everybody, i created a new Raspberry Console Mod with the raspberry pi 3 and the playstation.

Plans and a cable kit to make it by themselves come in late December.

Looks great! I like the four USB3 ports. Can it emulate PS1 games?

Wicked!
A fine use for the venerable PS1 case.

I might have to do that to one of mine someday.

I use Retro Pi. With the right settings you can emulate some PS1 Games.

I plan to offer the hardware soon. Everything you need is the cable set, 3D printing parts and, of course, a playstation housing and a raspberry pi.

A PSone casing would be a far smaller footprint than a PS1 case and more attractive than the old one.

That's an incredibly slick looking mod! The 3D printed bits are incredible.

Does Raspberry Pi support CD-ROM drives? I'd like to see one here. It just feels right.

Roms to play by CD would be really ingenious. I have not yet dealt with the topic.
Better you do not throw the hardware from the playstation away.

Id love to have one in a PSone. Especially if you wired it up an adapter to the PSX controller ports.
