Saturn Mod Chip Problem.

Post by Shvalt »

I ordered a mod chip, aboot a week ago and it just arrived yesterday :).

But all is not good, you see, i installed it earlier today and used the A+B method (with solder bridge), screwed it all back up but when i went to test it...

It would only read games as audio CD's!!!!!

I need help! Has anyone else had this problem?

You probably have a 64pin IC, I had the same problem with 2 or 3 of those systems. I finally got a saturn with a 32 pin IC and the chip works flawlessly.

see http://www.angelfire.com/pa/Raluminat/saturnmod.html

edit- i tried the A+B method, and i tried it with the wire to the chip, neither worked on my 64pins. A+B worked fine on the 32pin

Nope, it's the 32 pin.

Cheers for the help though.

Maybe i'll try connecting the cable to the 14th pin.

If that doesn't work i might buy a pre modded one from that site.

Are they trusted?

A+B does not always work. and if the 14th pin method works with legit games it will no doubt work with "backups". look slike you got yourself a working modded saturn :)

Awesome!

'Tis very good news! I bought a "backup" of sonic jam for testing from a friend for £1! (I think he ripped me off!)

if you paid more than a blank CDR for it you were cheated.
