Downing's SNES-001 Advanced COMPLETE!!! 6/18

Post by Downing »

Started a new project today and actually completed phase 1 of a 3 part build. Though I don't want to get too far ahead of myself, I did get the SNES modded for what I have in mind and got the unit painted which I think came out pretty nice for me!

Like I said, not gonna get too much into it because I'm not sure yet if my idea will work, though I don't see why it won't. Here are some pics. Have fun!

Famicom colors are always a good start, can wait to see the completion.

Great idea with the 4 controller ports, will come in handy for Secret of Mana and Bomberman games. The color scheme is also very nice, keep up the good work man.

Dang, now I gotta keep track of this project. I have to know what those non-ports are for.

Ahhh...The thought hadn't crossed my mind, though that might be a project for another day.

Yes, nobody posted what it really does between when I typed this out earlier but my internet died and now! The "ports" on the bottom don't look like "ports" at all, they're male. The actual ports are where they normally are so that you can still use a controller. The things below them presumably plug into another SNES using an extension cable to do... something. I'm stumped from there as to why you'd want to do this from there, but I'll keep thinking on it.
