You should be able to. It really depends on how tight everything is in the GBA case. For the GBC it was a snug fit.

Be very careful. The majority of the 3.5" screens from Dealextreme do not work with older consoles like the Genesis. Also they have not been taken apart to see if they are thin enough to fit in the Nomad. The one I us is 3/8" thick altogether. Any more than that and it wouldn't fit. Even 1/2" thick won't fit.
