New case for n64

by Zalphier Tue Nov 21, 2006 11:21 pm

Now, what I'm doing right now, is simply making the n64 smaller. If you've actually seen an n64 board, you'd know it's smaller in width from controller port 1, to controller port 4. I get n64s all the time, so I thought I'd do something with one. The problem is, I'm stumped as for a design for the shell. I need some Ideas.
The main point of this, is to free space, and for it to fit nicely for display on a gaming bookshelf.
So I need some ideas.
1.Color of shell
2.Material I should make the system out of
3.Some sort of logo (if any)
4.any other designs/ideas for this.

When I get a better picture of what I'm going to do, I'll post pictures of it, so you can see it. Thanks :)

Yeah this is pretty much it:

I'd have some cool ideas for a case, but as to how feasible it would be to make, I'm not so sure.

Put it in an NES case -- people seem to love that.
Or go the other way and build a Wii-like case :)

Keep the Ideas coming :) btw, thx for JC, so that people know what the motherboard looks like :)

Right now, my main concern is the power unit. I don't want to do anything, mess up, then light my house on fire :/ So it has to work with that bluky power unit.
