FYI some of those you listed will never have an adapter in them. No third party carts ever had an adapter. Being a 5 screw cart is only an indication that it is an early cart before switching to 3 screw to save money and time in assembly, not a way in itself to find an adapter. Just that if you're looking at a 3 screw cart it will definitely not have an adapter in it. Go read the guide for finding adapters in the guide section of the forum.

your article (the one i was linked to in the finds of the day thread) is where i got the link for the known carts to contain the adaptor from ( http://famicomworld.com/workshop/articl ... onverters/ )

i was kind of hoping some one would look for the dang adapter for me as that is specificly what im after  not to mention all it takes is a flat head to check em ;)

i have no idea what carts up there are 3erd party even i just went off the kown cart link i posted above, suppose ill go check that guide out so i can prune down that list eh ;)

on a side note i really think that adapter would lok really awesome fitted into a game genie shell, all in all aside from the pin count it is really kind of the same style adapter/connection (the mini cart between a cart thing)

That site is full of good information, but the 3rd party games in that list have to be on crack. I've never seen or read anywhere else any games other than Nintendo released ones having a convertor. A lot of the early games with minimal English on them had no changes when brought over so since the title and things on screen like "score" didn't need changes. Other third party games had totally different titles and changes when brought over. Plus "Licensed by Nintendo" was added on the US games.

See the different title screen for Rygar - http://www.mobygames.com/game/nes/rygar/screenshots
Elevator Action - http://www.mobygames.com/game/nes/eleva ... creenshots
Bungeling Bay - http://www.mobygames.com/game/nes/raid- ... creenshots

Mike Tyson's Punch Out was not a launch or near launch title title and was only ever released as a 3 screw game - http://bootgod.dyndns.org:7777/profile.php?id=317

Have a look here. viewtopic.php?f=52&t=24636

See my other edit and link. The offset little bit on the pins is the best way to tell. If those are there and it is a black label 5 screw pixel art Nintendo 1st party cart, it probably should have an adapter. You can look at the pins in the store and if they ask what you are doing, you can play it off that you're seeing if the pins are dirty or corroded.
