The snes and genesis versions of the game share some tracks (with unique arrangements) and have a few of their own as well. This one in particular is only on the snes version.
Amazing!
I love pitting SNES and Genesis ports to the test. Earthworm Jim being a good pick. I prefer EWJ1 on the Genesis, but EWJ2 on the SNES:
Tales of Phantasia - The Dream Will Never Die with Vocals
I don't recall 100% but fairly certain this was the only licensed SNES game with a fully vocalized singing track to it, it's the opening to the game if I remember right.
Played this when it came out new. Out of all the SNES games I've gone through over the years, this soundtrack by Tim Follin has always stuck with me the most. (And Link to the Past for runner up.)

Gotta love when awesome composers are tied down to lame games.
I don't know how I've forgotten about it this long but this whole games soundtrack kicks ass. If you like smooth jazz or lounge style music just check this: https://youtu.be/l4KYQ6QnwbM
I never hear talk about this game either. The music isn't the only solid aspect of the game I assure you.
