From what I have read, however, it is only worth acquiring for the Nintendo Coins. Based on the developer's other output, the game itself is probably garbage.

Yeah, it didn't look all that appealing to me. But hey, free is free. Who knows, you might like one or two of them, and even if you hate everything in the bundle, you still made no monetary risk and got 50 bonus coins to boot. I see little downside.

Anything's worth it if it's free. Except GunValkyrie.

Well, worth it just for the coins. My first gold ones, at that.

You just got a free copy of Metroid II for the 3DS. For ten more cons, you can get the radically better Wario Land 3 or Super Mario Bros. 3.

Yeah, if I end up buying anything in the near future, I'll pony up for one of the others. I've already got Metroid II from the old rewards program. :)

There is a killer eShop sale right now. In addition to Thanksiving/Black Friday deals on a lot of great first and third party games, there is a Sonic the Hedgehog 25th Anniversary sale, a Natsume sale, and a Level 5 sale.

I picked up:

Gotcha Racing
Kirby Fighters Deluxe
Starship Damrey

for my 3DS, and I will pick up

Don't Starve
Ninja Strike Dangerous Dash
Skorb
Super Meat Boy
Tallowmere

for my Wii U when I get home.

There are dozens of other great games on sale - Fast Racing Neo, Steamworld Heist, etc. - and a lot of first-party games too. Be sure to check it out!
