Playing other Gameboy games on Pokémon Stadium

I found a post on the EverDrive forum detailing how someone used modified Gameboy ROMs on a flashcart to play them on Pokémon Stadium. I was wondering if it might be possible to use a cheat device (with the Transfer Pak and/or Pokémon Stadium itself) to allow other Gameboy games to be played without the use of flashcarts.

One thing to consider if it is possible is what issues there would be with saving and workarounds/solutions to them.

More likely would be an emulator (ran from a flash cart) that could read GB carts from the Transfer Pak.

Using a Game Shark and/or Game Genie or whatever to play other GB carts via the Transfer Pak in Pokemon Stadium is probably impossible. The guy in the forum link said he had to modify things in the GB ROM that, AFAIK, can't be done with a cheat device. Even if it were possible, the weight of the Transfer Pak plus a cheat device plus a GB cart would probably cause hand fatigue quickly.

But speaking of... Why hasn't anyone created a GB emulator for the N64? It seems like it should be possible (not that I have any programming knowledge) since NES emulation on the N64 is decent.

I feel like it'd be less work to get a Super Game Boy for the SNES. In terms of full color GBC games, I use the Mednafen emulator on the Wii; it even use's the Wii's 240p output mode.

Keep in mind also that the Pokemon Stadium transfer pak way of playing Pokemon is through an emulator, not real Game Boy hardware.

That's probably what I'll have to do; I mainly wanted to find a cheaper way to play Gameboy Color carts on a television, though I was also interested in whether or not it would be possible for knowledge's sake.

I have a Wii, but I want to be able to use physical cartridges (for the sake of saves).

Yeah, the GB Player for the Cube is your best bet in that case.

If you don't mind your games having a crappy bilinear filter over them in 480i, at least.
