I'm trying to get a complete set of RPGs released in North America, as well as (what I consider) the best Japan-only RPGs. I have Legend of Heroes II, Dragon Knight 4, and Far East of Eden Zero in transit to my house right now.

Think I'm gonna play through Secret of Evermore and Mystic Quest again when I have the chance.........

I would like to add between 75 and 100 more games to this collection at some point. I am not in a hurry, however, and I very seldomly acquire "new" SNES games.

Based on a request from my daughter, I recently re-played The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and I completed it - again - last month. It is such a great game, and I discover something new about every time I play.

Finally, I keep my SNES connected to an HD CRT via an s-video cable, and it looks absolutely terrific.

SNES is my Favorite console of all time, but havent been playing it in 2013 at all, mostly concentrating on PS2 collecting and playing at the moment.

Still have a few games on my Wishlist i really want:

Earthbound (still havent beat)
Chrono Trigger (beat the DS version and wasnt too thrilled actually, but still want it for my collection)
Harvest Moon
Castlevania Dracula X
Mega Man X2
Mega Man X3

Just to name a few big titles.

I'll have to catch with this thread when I get back but I just wanted to say real quick...

Yes there is, there's event music when certain things happen. Like when you get chased by the beast in the first area.

It's been a decent year for me as far as beating SNES games go, especially with the Summer Game Challenge for motivation. I beat:

Super Metroid
Donkey Kong Country
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Chrono Trigger
Mega Man X2
Final Fantasy 3

Not a lot of quantity, but definitely quality. I'll add a few more before the year is out, but I'm pleased to put in +100 hours of love into my SNES.

I had them color coordinated until friends stopped by:( I've got more games in storage, those are the games currently on display.

Does remind me I need to clean up around here though.

Thankfully I kept my SNES and didn't have to reacquire things like I did with the NES. The collecting for it took a big break while I was more into PC gaming, but once I started on console stuff again I picked right back up. Like most I have pricey wants that I may never get since I'm usually a cheap bastard when it comes to collecting, but I've been lucky and managed to snag a few pricey gems without resorting to a month of ramen. I did pick up Space Megaforce, Secret of Mana, and Soul Blazer for about $45 each used complete back in the day and thought that was crazy, but of course today that's a bargain on all of them and I've played SM and SB so much I've gotten my money's worth many times over in enjoyment.
