Bah, I'm done with the DS brand for the time being. Maybe when the inevitable 3rd iteration comes with a reasonable battery and price tag.
Ill buy the 3DSlite in 2012 when it is only 200 and has an 8 hour battery life

I loved that you could charge the DS and forget about it for quite a while, especially if you play quick sessions the DSLite could effectively last you days. Can you get 6 hours with the 3D off I wonder?
I got my hands on a 3DS today for all of 30 seconds. It was mainly because I wanted to make sure the fact one of my eyes is significantly weaker than the other wouldn't mean stereoblindness and therefore no 3D. Mainly because when I saw Tron in 3D, I never saw any difference. I'm satisfied. I'll still wait before buying of course.

So I own mine now (it came out today in Europe) and I say screw the haters, I love this thing. The built in software is fun to muck around with (and I did so, for 2 hours before I even put in the game I bought with it!) but once I put in Pilotwings, I was very impressed. I'd previously played The AR games and Street Fighter 3d (street fighter whilst i was waiting in the queue for half an hour til midnight to buy my own 3ds) but pilotwing's 3d is just on another level to those in my eyes. I think it looks better than any 3D movie I've seen.
I have the slider set to about 2/3rds, it seems best for me. I have no eye trouble after a good 3 or 4 hours of playing it, but whenever I turn it to max, my eyes feel very strained almost instantly - it's definetely worth playing around to see what works best for you.
I have Deus EX, Catherine, Duke Nukem, and more scheduled through summer time all set for release. I have more than enough to keep me busy. I'm definitely holding off, as if I wasn't already

I got a quick shot of SFIV last night. I went into it feeling like most do, suspect that it's just a gimmicky port of a three year old game, and it is, but it's completely enjoyable. The isometric(ish) scale on the 3D Versus takes a little adjustment though, was getting hammered for a bit 'til I got to grips with it. I'm going to pick it up around Winter, when the Xmas price drop comes in and the catalogue is a bit more populous.
I finally got to try this thing out last weekend at Best Buy. And while I like it, I think I'm going to hold off on a purchase for a while. At the very least until the game catalog is a bit more impressive.
