Wii 4.3U update is out

Here is a summary of what the 4.3 update will do (courtesy of wiibrew.org)

Deletes the Homebrew Channel and DVDX, title IDs HAXX, DVDX, JODI, DISC, and DISK.
Now uses IOS80.
IOS254 stubbed BootMii is deleted.
Fixed Bannerbomb less stupidly this time.
Added IOS58.
HackMii Installer Userland+Syscall IOS exploit removed
NANDFS privilege escalation fixed
ES_AddTitleFinish now checks the signature(Trucha Bug Restorer and similar won't work anymore)

I don't understand the logic behind these kinds of updates. The people who have already used the exploit, won't upgrade. The only people who will upgrade are the people who don't know/care about the softmod. So the exploiters lose their homebrew capability and the 'noobs' don't gain anything. So what exactly is the point? If you're going to do something like this surely you'd want to offer some kind of carrot/stick situation?

It will affect the "dumb" users who have the exploit. There are already reports of people who upgraded to 4.3 and want to know what to do....

I figured until I can softmod it, why not update it and take advantage of the features - if there is any.

That's my point though. Why bother when there is no advantages of updating? From what I can tell there's nothing added in this update. Only stuff taken away.

bugger, I was going to update from 3.2 so I could get the SD loading for channels. I guess Ill be waiting until they get it fixed.
