I just completed the latest installment of this series and wanted to share it with y'all:

I welcome any feedback and comments. And if you have higher resolution imagery for Kage, Rockman, or Rockman 2, and you'd be willing to share it, that would be fantastic.
Take it easy,

Re: NES Box Art — The Regional Showdown
I spy a behelit.
It's always amusing to see the (sometimes drastic) regional differences between box art. The NES has some of the most awesomely bad cover art I've ever seen (at least, here in America). I was actually pretty surprised by how awesome the European box art for the mega man games was.
*edited for usefulness

Good read! It's strange how the box art can be so varied, sometimes it also begs the question what the hell were they thinking? I really liked MegaMan's Euro boxart

Interesting. I had not heard that Contra was changed to Probotector in Europe before. I noticed a typo though: in the table at the bottom, it says Contra III instead of Contra.

Keanu Reeves looks like he is on the front cover of river City Ransom. I did play Kung-Fu Master, but not Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu

Cool. I did a search for the ones you requested higher resolution of on Yahoo Japan auctions using the kanji/katakana titles with "fc" in front.

I dunno if this would help, but there a much higher resolution pic of rockman without the titling/border

Anapan, thanks so much for the image assist. Just updated the page, and it looks much better, especially the Rockman2 part. Not sure if you desire the publicity, but I'm happy to give you a shout out on the page as well.

Re: NES Box Art — The Regional Showdown
Regarding Ninja Gaiden's European cover art and name change, I'm assuming it was because of the same rule that caused the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to become the Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles in the UK.
