Genesis Model 1 Help
Hey guys my genny has some problems. First thing was that when I hooked everything up and popped a game in the screen just showed a blackscreen with some blurry white words which I think was part of the game (sonic 2). There was audio only some of the time. So I tried cleaning the cart slot and the board cause there was some muck on it but now the thing won't even turn on. Any ideas?

Power light turns on? Maybe its the ac adapter, do you have another one or can borrow from a friend?

Yep, check the power supply first. If you can't get it working and it's a nice looking unit, I have a beat up one I'll sell cheap that works fine. You could swap the guts and have a nice looking one that works.

The power supply works but the genny just won't turn on anymore after I cleaned it which is weird since I just took off some gunk on the board.
