Nominate The Best Old-School Games of 2008

Post by racketboy »

Instead of running a standard "Best of the Year" feature like I have in the past, I want to take nominations for games in the forum and then have everyone vote for their favorites on the main part of the site.

So, please place your nominations in this thread. It can be a downloadable game (Virtual Console, XBLA, PSN), a compilation of classic games, or a brand new game that is retro/2D in nature.

I look forward to seeing what games come out on top!

One of the best adventure games ever, brought up to date by some very talented fans.

I think this counts: World of Goo for the Wii was just a blast to play through.

Winner:
Ketsui Death Label

Honourable Mention:
SSFIITHDR (XBLA)
Castle Crashers (XBLA)

If I had actually played them I might vote for:
DoDonPachi Dai-Fukkatsu
Death Smiles Mega Black Label
Street Fighter IV
Subterranean Animism

Although, they might not count according to some people.

I second the Space Invaders Extreme nomination.

I'd love to vote for Megaman 9, but since it was not released for PSP or PS2, I couldn't play it. Jerks.
