What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Seven Deaths in the Cat's Eye (1973)

Yeah, I watched and reviewed a giallo with an animal title. At least that animal is actually in this movie.

Amazon has some amazing Giallo titles, but that is not one of them! If you need some recommendations, please let me know. That is randomly one of my wife’s favorite genres (the furniture! the fashion!), and we’ve seen a ton of them.

Have you (or Michi) seen the new Suspiria yet? (I thought it was really solid, but I could see why a lot of people would hate it.

I haven't seen it yet, but it's on my To Watch list. I'm very curious. I enjoy the original, but it's not my favorite Argento film. That's probably Deep Red.

Have you and your wife watched Your Vice is a Locked Room and Only I Have the Key? It's on my Watchlist on Amazon.

Also, do you like vampire clowns and death farts? Because you might enjoy The Night Watchmen (2017).

Yes. It’s good.. It’s basically Edgar Allen Poe’s the black cat, but with Italian Giallo insanity. Recommended.

I have on my watch list:

The Black Belly of the Tarantula
The Case of the Bloody Iris
Cat o’ Nine Tails
Dressed to Kill
Opera
Short Night of the Glass Dolls

They come and go a bit, but some you can stream on Prime that I recommend are:

Blood and Black Lace
The Perfume of the Lady In Black
The Red Queen Kills Seven Times
Whatever Happened to Solange?

The Perfume of the Lady In Black Is particularly awesome.

I completely forgot about the new Suspiria. I'll have to add it to my watchlist.

Yeah, Prime can be bad about that. You get no forwarning when things are about to disappear. And then they may or may not come back again. That happened to me with Opera. I added it to the watchlist, and then 1-2 weeks later when I went to watch it, I realized it was gone. Then it came back again a couple months later *shrugs*

Well, I had a productive weekend. I watched 6 movies, 5 of which I'm writing up reviews for (which means I'll be posting them probably next week). In the meantime, I have a couple more of my usual level of trash cinema to present to you:

The Big Doll House (1971)

Yeah, a women in prison film with Pam Grier, Sid Haig, Roberta Collins, and produced by Roger Corman. Any questions?

Vicious Lips (1986)

An Albert Pyun movie about an interstellar band that must race across the galaxy to get to a show on time, only to crash halfway through when the budget obviously ran out. If you know Pyun, you know it's quality, or specifically the lack thereof.

More movie reviews, because I don't sleep, I just watch movies.

Messengers 2: The Scarecrow (2009), because who doesn't want to use a creepy voodoo scarecrow to improve your family farm and also possibly make you kill said family.

Legacy of Satan (1974), which gives you all of the joy of watching a 1970s porno without any of the actual porn.

Black Rain (1989), which is awesome. It's Michael Douglas running around Japan and taking down the Yakuza with NYPD style.

Since today is Jason Voorhees's birthday I've decided to rewatch Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter.
