What was the last movie you've seen?
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
I LOVE the animated Transformers movie, especially that rocking synth soundtrack. The nostalgia is powerful with it. But as much as I love it, it is decidedly NOT a good film.

I don’t know, man. The voice talents of Orson Welles and Leonard Nimoy together in one animated film are pretty impressive.

Rewatched Black Harvest after realizing there's a decent quality rip uploaded (rare film). Essential leftist cinema about a plantation, and it's a shame that outside of Sight and Sound, the Harvard essential documentaries list, and a film forum I go on, it's unknown of everywhere else. The directors just wanted to make a regular pbs style documentary about a coffee plantation, and a total shitstorm happened instead.

Is that basically a Hotline Miami movie?

It can be if you squint, I suppose.
I mean, it does involve a dude in an animal mask who kills a bunch of mobsters/criminals. But that's about as far as it goes. Other than that it is very distinctly British and clearly spoofing both Halloween and Batman.

I took my kids to see Sonic yesterday. It was a decent enough family flick. I liked Detective Pikachu a little better but not by much. The product placement was not at all subtle but I found the ridiculousness of it to be rather amusing.
I just finished watching the Dragon Quest movie that is on Netflix. I went in with zero expectations and was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't a masterpiece or anything but it was a good way to kill a dreary Sunday morning.

100 minute runtime, 90 minutes spent watching the hero level-grinding.

Lol. Thankfully that is about a 5 minute montage.
