The novel came out a year after The Last of Us, so if anything it would be the other way around.

First trailer is a little better. Love that it comes out the same day as the Switch.

Sad news, Miguel Ferrer has died.

I'm sorry to see you go, Bob Morton.

Went and saw Split today overall it's a pretty decent movie don't expect it to get much more exciting then what you saw in the trailer though. This is a surprisingly straightforward film being that it's written/directed by M. Night Shyamalan and thankfully he doesn't fuck it up with a ridiculous twist at the end.

I will say the final scene made my day though :D . While the last 10 minutes or so were kind of anti climactic the last 30 seconds made up for it and instantly made the movie ten times better.

Spoiler for the last 30 seconds for those that aren't planning to see it or who have given up on M. Night Shyamalan
It's set in the Unbreakable universe  . The last minute or so of the film takes place with a bunch of people in a diner watching a news report on the incident and it slowly pans down the seats while people talk about it . Then someone says something along the lines of "What a freak. With that nickname they gave him it's almost like that guy in a wheel chair that got locked away a few years ago what was his name?". Pan up Bruce Willis "Mr.Glass".

Mind blown YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So hopefully we get Unbreakable 2 finally.

I had no interest at all in watching that film until I read your spoiler.

so I finally saw Watchmen. Having read the book fairly recently it was still fresh in my mind (and heart) so I was very excited. I realize that this is one of those 'divisive' movies, but plant me firmly in the camp of those that loved it. Basically, I applauded that it treated the source material with the respect to be as unflinching as the book. And while lots of things had to be cut for running time, everything that was in the movie felt like it was following the comics very very closely. I'm sure you can come up with all the reasons the movie wasn't perfect, yet I can't imagine a more successful attempt at this adaptation.

I thought the casting was great; music was fitting... just really really loved it.

There is a four-hour director's cut (which I also own), which I may attempt to sit through broken down into smaller chunks over the course of a week or something.

I read the graphic novel after I saw the movie. I still think they're both great.
